About
Hi! I’m Prasanth, a design engineer turned product manager, passionate about building effective teams and leveraging design to create high-growth products.
My approach to product management has been shaped by YCombinator’s essential startup advice, which I believe boils down to two critical focus areas:
- Building the Product: Focus on creating and improving the offering.
- Engaging with Customers: Take the product to the audience as soon as possible to refine and adapt it.
While this advice is primarily aimed at startup founders, I find it strikingly relevant to product management. However, I’d add a third key area for product managers to focus on:
- Learning from the Builders: Founders and creators leave traces of wisdom gained through iterating with their customers, through their products and features. We can learn a lot by carefully observing and studying these products.
This is the inspiration for my blog, Product Pickle. I believe product managers can improve faster and more effectively not only by building and interacting with customers but also by learning from other creators in the ecosystem. In this blog, I’ll share my findings and insights from analyzing various products from a product manager’s perspective.
Apart from product management, I have a keen interest in AI and DeFi, and I’m fascinated by products that leverage these technologies. On a personal note, I enjoy reading, hiking, and am a strong advocate for neurodiversity in the workplace.
